The End, for now ...
For Elizabeth Gay,
You thought all these pictures were lost forever. You kept saying, "no one will ever know how far this place has come, they will never know the history and all the women that put their life into this place, how many souls have their last resting place here..."
Yes, they will.
Who knows what is next? Another guesthouse somewhere? Living abroad? Retiring for good? Selling? Can you shut the door to Gabriel's for the last time? Everything you've known is held within these 4 buildings. The only "home" you have known is here. These past couple of years the numbers have broken all records, personally and in Provincetown. It's better than it has ever been.
So... what is the next adventure, little Gay?
There will always be magic, a front porch, gardens, roaring fires, sunflowers, puppies, ice cream, fairy doors, lily of the valley, the dancing lady on Sheppard Street, Grendel's toys in the courtyard... and in some shape or form, always Gabriel's.
Sometimes a song can not only express a person, however a place.
This place. This song is for your Gabriel's.

I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Well, I've been afraid of changing
cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Oh, take this love, take it down
Climb a mountain and turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe the landslide will bring it down

I've built my life around you...
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting
older too
But...
I won't let a landslide bring it down.
