The weather service predicted a record snowfall and, for once, they were right. Thirty six inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours and it is still snowing. To make matters worse the heavy snow and gale force winds have brought down trees on both the Sagamore and Bourne bridges.
The only signs of civilization between the two bridges are the historic Fairbanks Inn and Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn. The Fairbanks is an historic building with more than two hundred years of history that has been an Inn since 1985. But now the Fairbanks and Gabriel's Inn's have suddenly become the difference between life and death for anyone trapped between the two bridges.
One by one the newly stranded begin arriving and snatching up the available rooms. Then a murder most foul occurs!
Two realizations come very quickly to the minds of the remaining guests: the murderer must be someone at the Inn and, thanks to the ongoing storm and impassable bridges, they are all trapped there with him ... or is it her?
On Friday night, our guests will gather at the Fairbanks Gaslight Tavern. In addition to the opening scenes of the murder mystery, your are invited to enjoy Bloody Mary’s, hor d’ourves and haunting melodies by the renowned violist/innkeeper/Alicia and Peter Donnelly.
During the weekend more of the plot will be revealed as various characters drop clues for you to analyze and ponder. Saturday afternoon at tea time, more scenes are played out. Saturday evening, you are invited to “Gabriel’s Italian Bistro” which will be serving up a killer four course dinner with all the trimmings.
During dinner the killer will be revealed. The top crime solver(s) will win a free night for a future stay at your respective inn.
On Sunday, it's all aboard for a gourmet brunch as we bid you a fond farewell...well, farewell to those that lived through the weekend.
