Renovations at Gabriel's (continued ... )
Mother, The Studio, Catherine, Anne, Lillian, Maya, Emily, and Norma
The third stall of the 1800's stables
went through many transformations.
The Hallway to Mother's Room, Norma Rae and Catherine the Great. Mother's Room is on the right. Norma next door down, Catherine was straight ahead.

Mother's room named for Eleanor Clemens Dix.

Mother's Room became Maya Angelou and then Emily Dickinson.

Norma Rae
Norma was a very little room tucked inbetween Mother's and Catherine. She was only around for a few seasons before she became part of the front room.
Music Studio / Catherine / Anne / Lillian
Before any guest room came to be in the last room at the end of the hall it was a Music Studio. Musicians in town would love to use this room, for it was very secluded and mostly underground... which lent for very few people being disturbed!
Catherine The Great
A very interesting room to say the least. She had a queen sized bed that hung from the ceiling on chains. The room was painted black and had no windows. That room lasted only a couple of years and, sadly, there are no surviving pictures.

After Catherine came Anne Lawrence Dodge
Lillian Hellman
Lillian Hellman was the last incarnation of this room. Lillian started out with a king sized water bed!
